In this guide, we’ll walk you through the exact steps you need to get your app live on the Play Store, even if you have zero technical background.

This guide is perfect if you’ve just used AERIOUS Web-to-App and received your AAB file via email.

✅ What You Need Before You Start

Before publishing, make sure you have:

1. Google Developer Account

You must create a Google Play Developer account.

• Cost: $25 USD (one-time fee)
• Create it here: https://play.google.com/console/signup

2. Your app files

From AERIOUS, you should already have:

• AAB file
• App name
• App icon (1024×1024)
• Screenshots (optional but recommended)

3. A short & long app description

Google Play requires both.

4. A privacy policy URL

If your app loads external content (WebView), you need a simple privacy policy page.

🪜 Step 1 — Create Your Google Play Developer Account

1. Go to: https://play.google.com/console
2. Log in with your Google account
3. Accept the terms and conditions
4. Pay the $25 one-time fee
5. Complete identity verification

After approval, you’ll access the Google Play Console.

🪜 Step 2 — Create a New App in Google Play Console

1. In the left menu → All apps
2. Click Create app
3. Fill out the fields:
   • App name
   • Default language
   • App type: App
   • Pricing: Free or Paid
4. Accept declarations and click Create app

You now have a blank Play Store listing ready to configure.

🪜 Step 3 — Set Up Your App Store Listing

This is the part users will actually see on Google Play.

Fill out:

App Details

• Short Description (max 80 chars)
• Full Description (explain what your app does)

Graphics

• App Icon (1024×1024)
• Feature Graphic (1024×500)
• Screenshots
  • Required: at least 2 mobile screenshots

You can add more later, but Google requires the basics.

🪜 Step 4 — Upload Your AAB File

1. Go to Release → Production → Create new release
2. Choose App Signing by Google Play (recommended)
3. Click Upload and select your AAB file
4. Wait for Google’s validation checks
5. Fix any warnings (AERIOUS apps typically pass automatically)

Once uploaded, you’ll see the app version listed in your release.

🪜 Step 5 — Complete App Content Requirements

These sections ensure your app complies with Google policies.

In the left menu, go to:

App Content → Start

You’ll fill out:

• Privacy Policy URL
• Ads declaration
• Target audience & age rating
• Data safety questionnaire
• Permissions
• Content rating form

Don’t skip this — your app cannot be approved without it.

🪜 Step 6 — Review and Roll Out to Production

Once everything is green:

1. Go to Production → Edit Release
2. Add release notes (simple message like “First release”)
3. Click Save
4. Click Review release
5. Click Roll out to production

Your app has now been submitted. 🎉

🕒 Step 7 — Wait for Google Approval

Google typically takes:

• 6 to 48 hours for the first review
• Rejections may occur if something wasn’t filled correctly (you can fix and resubmit)

Once approved, your app becomes publicly available.
